This ancient temple in Lamphun dates back to around the year 1100, built during the reign of King Athittayarat, a descendant of Queen Chamathewi. Known for its golden chedi and rich history, the temple was enhanced in 1443 by King Tilokarat of Chiang Mai who added five pagodas in Sri Lankan style.
